Inavailability of the internet accessDue to the inavailability of the internet access at the conference site, we can not upload the video and audio info about the ICPDP4 until 17th June, but we have recordings of all the oral presentations and that we will upload them as soon as possible.
13 June Bonjour From OrleansIt's 6pm in the evening here at Orleans and CPL had just arrived at the conference venue. I saw many familiar faces here at the conference including L. Boufendi, A. Piel, J. Goree, etc. Many others are expected to arrive soon either sometime tonight for the dinner tonight or for tomorrow morning. This year, we recieved the following items from the conference package:
The most interesting information of the items given is of course the Book of Abstracts. Here is the foreword from the Book of Abstracts: "It is a great honor of the GREMI laboratory to welcome all the attendees to the 4th edition of the International Conference on the Physics of Dusty Plasma (ICPDP4) held every three years. This conference follows the previous meetings that took place in Goa (India, 1996), Hakone (Japan, 1999) and Durban (South Africa, 2002). The conference is hosted in the Ecole Polytechnique de l'Universite d'Orleans. We hope this conference to be a great success and a good opportunity for all the participants to exchange ideas and experiences, as well as promote progress in the area of Complex Plasmas and their applications. The Conference Program includes 20 Topical Review Lectures, 33 Oral Presentations and 186 Posters spread over 3 sessions. All the speakers are asked to save time for discussions and questions at the end of their talks. To make the talk comprehension easier, native English speakers are asked to speak slowly and clearly. Participants are also encouraged to hang up their posters as early as possible on their allocated poster boards. We hope that during your stay, you will enjoy and experience the rich diversity of the French culture in Orleans and the "King's Valley" along the Loire river. Orleans is only located 130 km far away south of Paris. This will give you the opportunity, and we encourage you, to visit this famous city as well. The organization of ICPDP4 would not have been possible without the active involvement of all the members of the GREMI laboratory, including PhD students. They are all gratefully acknoledged. On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee CPL will provide you will more pictures and information tomorrow. Although we are currently facing some difficulties in uploading media files from the Conference site. I will provide more updates on this tomorrow.
3 June Poster Printing In ProgressCPL is currently in the process of making 5 posters for the upcoming ICPDP4 and 2 posters for 32nd EPS. We would like to thank Malcolm Rickett from the School of Biology at the University of Sydney for his assistance.
26 May Live Video BroadcastCPL is currently organizing live broadcast of the conferences and invited visits. The video will be available provided we are granted internet access at the conferences so wish us luck.

Connecting MSN Messenger 7.0 with CPL Live CoverageBy utilising MSN® Spaces technology, CPL Live Coverage is an innovative offering from Complex Plasma Laboratory that allows researchers on complex plasma across the globe to get up-to-date information from important conferences. Researchers can express themselves in a variety of ways and interact with us via the website. CPL Live Coverage is more than an ordinary website. It is an easy-to-use service that is more like a dynamic online scrapbook to share information and photos, ideas, and more. You can access the CPL Live Coverage easily by either:
When CPL Live Coverage site is updated or content is added, a "gleam" will appear next to the MSN Messenger icon of the contact "Complex Plasma Laboratory Live Coverage", making it easy for youly to know when there have been changes. This facilitates more visits to the CPL Live Coverage, faster responses to new postings, and closer bonds between our readers and us.
If you have any problem, please don't hesitate in contact us. To install MSN Messenger 7.0, please go to http://messenger.msn.com/
18 May 32nd EPS Tentative Programme on Dusty and Low Temperature PlasmaThe oral presentations for the dusty and low temperature plasma at the 32nd EPS will be held in the Medusa room. Tentatively, these are the events which we will be reporting:

32nd EPS Plasma Physics ConferenceThis 32nd EPS Plasma Physics Conference continues the series of European Physical Society (EPS) conferences on plasma physics, encompassing the fields of fusion research, laser-plasma interaction and inertial confinement fusion, as well as dusty and low temperature plasmas. The topics include:
4th International Conference on the Physics of Dusty PlasmasThe 4th International Conference on the Physics of Dusty Plasmas (ICPDP4) will be held on the 13th-17th of June in Orleans, a small city 130km south of Paris. Complex Plasma Laboratory in a group of 8 people attended the ICPDP3 in 2002 (Brian & wife, Neil & wife, Sergey, Alex, Nathan, Felix) and had a really good time in Durban. Although the last conference is hard to top, everyone is already looking forward to the trip to Orleans. As in the previous conferences in this series (ICPDP1 - Goa of India, ICPDP2 - Hakone of Japan, ICPDP3 - Durban of South Africa), ICPDP4 will focus on wide range of dusty and complex plasma physics phenomena including:
